CROQUET - BASIC RULES

CROQUET GOLF CROQUET ASSOCIATION CROQUET
The classic sport of Croquet is an absorbing game that encompasses some aspects of golf and snooker. It can be played by all ages at any time of the year. The two most popular versions of croquet are Golf Croquet and Association Croquet.
The object of this game is to be the player that runs the most hoops in the required sequence with your ball. First player to make the best of 7 or 12 hoops wins that game. It can be played by two or four players with each player having a single turn in rotation. Games last about 30 to 40 minutes. This game is the perfect way to be introduced to many playing aspects of the more complicated Association Croquet. More rule details.
Uses the same four coloured balls as Golf Croquet and the object of this game is to run each of the six hoops in both directions with both your balls before Pegging Out. Each time the player hits another ball or runs a hoop they gain another shot, thus it is quite possible to make a “break” of several hoops during a single turn. This version of the game can be played as a single or a double and may last 2 to 3 hours. More rule details.
